About Katia
From South America to San Diego
Originally from South America, Katia has been dancing since she was five years old. She specializes in Argentine Tango — salon, stage, milonguero, fantasia, milonga and vals — studied for over a decade with the most respected tango maestros of Argentina, Italy and the United States.
She is also a Ballroom & Latin instructor teaching American Rhythm, Salsa, Bachata, Cumbia and more, and holds numerous national and world titles across styles — teaching social students and competitive dancers, and competing and performing worldwide.
But her true passion is teaching. “I genuinely love teaching and my students mean more to me than anything. Can’t wait to meet you on the dance floor!”

At Another Level
It was clear she is just at another level. Katia’s upbeat & positive attitude is like a breath of fresh air. I always look forward to my lessons.

A Diamond in Every Way
After many male teachers and not making much progress, I am thrilled that I started working with Katia and keep improving every time I visit.
— TOM
Getting Lots of Compliments
She improved so many things I was doing wrong in just the first class that I was shocked. Fast forward to now and I’ve been getting lots of compliments.
— MIKE
The Best!
Katia is an encyclopedia of information and talented beyond belief. So detail oriented that she can almost immediately figure out what is wrong and explains how to correct it.
— BETSY
Danced All the Way Down the Aisle
She made the class environment so incredibly fun that I looked forward to it every week. We danced all the way down the aisle — and Katia was my maid of honor!
